Not true. I had been checking more than 6 e-mail accounts with KMail with MDK 8. Don't remember the version.. I have MDK8.1 with KMail 1.3.1 on one of my compnay machine. Configure 2 accounts there. I'ts Settings->Configure KMail->Identities->Edit transport. Note it may be disabled for default identity. Create a new one.. I wish I could post a screenshot of that. Go to kmail.kde.org and look for them. Unfortunately it's not reaching there right now. Of course for me..
