yes u r right with the first part. when i run squid it starts and then status shows the error"no run copy". killing process not possible, says cant send signal, no PID file. but after i clear and rebuild the cache it again works fine. and nameserver is from dialup to ISP and LFUDA/LRU, didn't get it, i didn't choose any of these (all default settings)
