US Robotics ? oooofff ...

This line says it all ... I had problems with US Robotics a
over an year ago for a friend ... I don't exactly remember
the init string that I had set ... basically setting every-
thing to factory defaults of other modems. Just try this out
"AT&F E0 V1 &C1 &D2 S95=47 S10=250 X3 L3", which forces most
of the things needed, inclusive of loudness to 3!. A shot in
the dark ... may work :-)

FYI, I have a HDI on my home page http://geocities/usmbish/
on modem string options for a quick reference.
