No need for this. Ctrl+ALt+F1, login as root, /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs start
No need to reconfigure X, which is a painful thing (and Ctrl+Alt+F1 iff
you boot into GUI mode). Otherwise just a normal login as root.
chkconfig xfs start

Thats the right thing, in this case. I would investigate why xfs is not
starting though.
