Thanku Mr. Manjunath & Mr. Bhagat for ur responses to my email.
I have managed to solve the problem, the problem originated due to the fact
that my serial mouse's connection was a little loose, tightening it solved
the problem.
Though i have still not been able to understand why the gui failed to start
even though kudzu didnot complain about the mouse during startup.
