Hi,

Your initialization string should read AT&FX3L3S10=255
instead of ATZ.  Moreover you must also have the file
/etc/resolv.conf which should read as

search <domain name of your ISP>
nameserver <Primary IP of your ISP>
nameserver <Secondary IP of your ISP>

Also you must add additional entries in
/etc/ppp/options file which is:

noauth
usepeerdns
