Hi, One of my colleague who knows the root password of my machine accidentally deleted the contents of /boot partition. So I recompiled the kernel and made lilo to point to the newly built kernel. Now the problem is I am missing the /boot/boot.b file which I don't know how to create.I simply copied the boot.b file from the neighbouring machine to the affected machine. Will I be in trouble if I reboot my machine. If so how to recover boot.b? with regards kamesh jayachandran Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
