All floppies I used, even brand new ones, were showing bad sectors and recording faults. I was blaming the floppy manufacturers and trying out with different makes without success. Finally, I decided to get my FDD examined and learnt that it was out of alignment. The same FDD is performing very well since, both with windows and linux, and I am also able to read and write to all the so called bad floppies collected earlier. -K.Ghosh. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
