Hi,
Thanks.
But In my case I don't have any file /boot/boot.b.
a)Without this /boot/boot.b file I am not able to install lilo as it had the directive
saying "install="/boot/boot.b" and lilo gave the error message saying that "Fatal:
open /boot/boot.b : No Such File Or Directory".
b)Touching the file "/boot/boot.b" also did not help.
c)I copied the /boot/boot.b from the neighbouring machine and ran `lilo -v' It went
well. But I don't know how successful it may be unless otherwise I reboot my machine.
d)If I don't have access to the neighbour's machine how else I can regain my
/boot/boot.b file
with regards
kamesh jayachandran
