It seems that you have downloaded the source tarball. In
most sources there is a file called  INSTALL  or README.
Have a look at that, and the steps  would  be given. For
most cases, the steps are:

o ./configure
o make
o make install (after su)

I have not come across this command "./complile" for any
software compilation so far ...
