in qmail?  Forget using qmailconfig or whatever debian automated tool you are
using ... what are the contents in /var/qmail/control/?

set spoolfile="~/Maildir/"

Or modify /var/qmail/rc to deliver all mail to /var/spool/mail/[users-mbox]

thhiiissss ? You can slow it down ... Try :  `kbdrate -r 3.0`
This permits 3 keystrokes per second. 'man kbdrate' for more.
