Oh, so you are using vmailmgr ...
/var/qmail/control/ is a directory with a set of files with values ... all
qmail parameters.
me = local name of qmail install (like hardcoding the mailserver's hostname)
locals = local domains received by qmail
rcpthosts = domains received by qmail - may be queued and sent out elsewhere
(typically when you are a backup mx for that domain)
smtproutes = like a mailertable, and also - you can set a "smarthost" setting
in this (:your.isps.smtp.server)
