Are you talking about Linux books or Unix ? For Linux, one of
the 'easy' books which gives an overall perspective is "Peter
Norton's Complete Guide to Linux" (Techmedia, Indian Ed). If
you are on RH, get one of the RH books like RH Unleashed. This
will give RH specific info .. "The Debian Linux User's Guide"
if you are on Debian.

For Unix, there are several good books. Check out at the near-
est Library/ bookstore for a book which you can understand and
feel that you'd be able to digest.

Sub : Changing default OS under LILO LOST #182

Edit /etc/lilo.conf. Put a line in /etc/lilo.conf:
default=oslabel # where oslabel is label the preferred OS
Then, Do: /sbin/lilo -v
Now next time you start lilo, default OS will alter.
