I am a latecomer into this thread. Some points that occured to me are as follows:
1)In xls each cell can have independent defination. .xls data can be imported into any database, only if all cells in a column are of the same type. 2)A computed column need not be imported as "data". It can be generated in postgres. Are these points valid?
