And if you do a system wide install, it will add to $HOME/.xinitrc of
every entry in /etc/passwd - I was surprised to find .xinitrc in /sbin,
/var/spool/mqueue etc. Bad of Yahoo, I must say. :-(

But there was no startup problems.

Incidentally, kyim stopped connecting to Yahoo ever since the new messenger
came out. I'd like to know what your experience with publicly available
messenger software is (gtkyahoo, everybuddy etc.).

Coupled with the fact that they are going to make me pay for POP3 access to
Yahoo mail is now making me seriously consider ditching Yahoo for everything.
