A closer look and I think I know why it does not work: > (setq gnus-select-methods '((nnml ""))) That should be: (setq gnus-secondary-select-methods '((nnml "private"))) [ just don't ask me why the "private" is there... :)] Your Maildir thingy will work now, I think.
