Still haven't given up hope of help ! Re-sending...
--------------------------------------------------------
Hi List,

I have a mandrake 8.1 with mail confg as postfix+fetchmail+mutt at home.
I configured the same with the instructions on srs's website (thanks to
him). I'm able to send mails to/from the box (I've a dialup connection).
However, after I subscribed to this list and sent mails to LIH from
home, the same did'nt reach. But I can receive mails from the list (so
I'm just a spectator now). When I sent some test mails from my ISP's (tatanova)
webmail, the same did reach. Yesterday I sent a test mail from home. The
mailq was as below (which became empty after "sendmail -q" a couple of
times):**********-Queue ID- --Size-- ----Arrival Time----
-Sender/Recipient-------4E9DA6D14 793 Fri Apr 12 23:50:18
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
                                                  (deferred transport)
                                              [EMAIL PROTECTED]

                                                  -- 0 Kbytes in 1 Request.
***********
I have assigned a FQDN of nova.starlight.com (instead of example.com as
suggested by srs :))and my isp's SMTP server is mail.tatanova.com. Is
this not reaching the List because there is a difference in the
addresses. I even enabled ip_masquerade in /etc/postfix/mail.cfand restarted the
service
but still the mails did'nt reach and they did'nt bounce back.
I'm somewhat clueless. Some pointers..?? (In case a peek at some logs is
required, I can paste the same....)
Thanks for your time,
Soumen Dass
