That's why I said in my company. Issue of compatibility dogs software companies 
which usually have massive e-communication with others. You start from scratch 
and leave all legacy behind, koffice rocks..

And secondly koffice is quitea refreshing change in desktop computing. 
KParts/frames etc stuff. is damn good...

They i.e. koffice developers suggest rtf. They can handle it and it takes 
almost everything a doc can.

Good. Does it do table of contents, bulleted lists, header/footers? And thank 
you I know latex can. But we are talking of an office suite and not just real 
word processing. It involves auto-matic appointments with korganiser/kmail, 
kplateu which is Microsoft Project work-alike and things like that. And yes, 
pretty old spreadsheets. (I am dropping presentations because they can be done 
in latex but not animations I believe..
