In another terminal type tail -f /var/log/messages as root and see what you get when starting squid in another terminal with /etc/rc.d/init.d/squid start. Also as a last resort you could delete all the cache files under /var spool/squid or ( cache_dir )and use squid -z to recreated the cache_dir. Regards, -dayalan Dipankar Mitra wrote:
