Binand, thanks for the prompt response. Technically, you are
dead right. This is incomplete, and you need to use 'bg' to
push the process in the background. I would be re-wording it
for technical correctness ...
Never used bash2, so cannot comment ...
In practical usage though, the 'bg' is not that critical, and
one may start another process immediately after the 'Ctrl-z'.
At any later stage you can bring the old process back with
'fg'. I have never faced any problem at any stage because of
the omission of 'bg' command after Ctrl-z.
