Yes it is running under svscan, i have linked my /service directory to /var/log/dnscache with dnscache-conf tool. > > # svstat /service/dnscache/ > # svstat /service/tinydns/ I did not install tinydns as i dont want to install dns server. I am running cyber cafe and i dont want to use dnscache to do revers lookup to my machines. i have linux gateway 192.168.1.1 connected to LAN and Internet and i have installed dnscache as internal and external cache on that machine. All other machines have 192.168.1.1 as gateway and dns in their network settings. do i have to install tinydns. first command shows [kunal@localhost kunal]$ sudo /usr/sbin/svstat /service/dnscache /service/dnscache: up (pid 1084) 484 seconds [kunal@localhost kunal]$ I dont think for dial up connections, connectivity is the problem I have chacked it with different dial up connections and even on cable connection. --kunal _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
