Errr, that fire and forget thing never exists. Not even with openbsd.
The *only* defense if you want to stay on the internet is to stay alert,
and ahead of the enemy.
I seriously recommend reading the art of war for any admin. Its got some
good advice.

Build securely
Patch
Harden
Test
Look for new patches/exploits
goto step 2
