Hello friends, we are right now using MSSQL server as database server.We are now planning to move to some open source, Linux compatible database server.In this we have consiered MySQL and PostgreSQL.I am just wondering whether any of you have done this excercise before. I have some more doubts. 1) I know MySQL does not support Stored procedures and view.Are there any other differences in MSSQL and MySQL other that this? 2) What are the differences between PGSQL and MSSQL? 3) I heard someone quoting on some newsgroup that Oracle for Linux is free.Is that true?
