I used your script and i am getting this error, same as before with the
earlier script.

 service httpd start
env: /etc/init.d/httpd: No such file or directory

/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start
: bad interpreter: No such file or directory


both ways... its the same error.

its some other error it seems.

all files are there
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl

file /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd
/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version
1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
