Don't know why debian keeps /dev/fb0 to 622. Check MAKEDEV script in
your box (usually located in /dev), all devices in "tty" group have
permissions of 666. This is around line 17 or 18 of the script.

w3m as per its README: "w3m is a pager with WWW capability. It *IS* a
pager, but it can be used as a text-mode WWW browser".
When reading HTML document, you can follow links and view images using
external image viewer. The default is xv under X (this is configurable
and you can change it to display or xzgv). On console zgv works.
It supports other things like links viz frames, ssl etc. It is capable
of lynx type -dump operation for converting html to text. It also has
a neat w3mman displaying all existing man pages in html with all links
working and does not need a running web server like dwww. Nifty !
