I have donated my old 386 with 8MB/260MB Color Monitor to a local Deaf &
Dumb Charity Orgz.

Presently they are using it for Win/3.1 , PaintBrush, Typing Tutor, and
Games etc. It is the only PC with them. I have also arranged for an 100 Hrs
net access. I want the kids to have a net experience & Enjoy a liitle bit !

Now since Win95/98 cannot be used on this oldie, hence only option is to use
Linux.
Good Linux to e'body,

I am thinking of using Potato, which some claims, can be cramped in below
150 MBs with all the bells-n-whistles of email client/browser etc.

What should be the combination on such configuration so that, the kids can
enjoy the net access without feeling the pinch of slow speed ?

Has any-body actually configured & used such an oldie for browsing the net ?

PS: I have used Patato for a week only , but it ran out-of-box. I did'nt
configure any-thing except mail.

Regards & thanks !

~ Pat
