Not directly related, but ILUG-Delhi has taken up a project for
popularising Linux in schools in Delhi. We're planning to make a 2-CD
distribution which would contain Red Hat 7.2 or 7.3 (yes, we did
discuss Debian and Mandrake too :) and lots of stuff which would be
useful to schools. Our objective is more to make the distribution
complete and attractive to a school than to go for a minimal install.
Would love to hear suggestions on stuff which can be included in the
distribution. If you know a great open source package for schools
please let me know about it.
The final result would be available for free download, of course.
