apparently you want a encryption scheme which can be decrypted,
and not crypt-only ( linke crypt() ). afaik, PGP may be a good
idea ---

Subject: [LIH]passwords in database

Helo LIST,
what is the safest way of storing passwords in a database?
The scenario is like this.
I have a list of routers where i have to telnet
occasionaly (using Net::Telnet perl module for that)
I am currently storing the passwords in clear text format
in the database (postgres)
But i don't want to.
IS there any way of avoiding this?

Thanx,
