Softhome runs Courier for POP and SqWebMail (part of Courier) for www access; they probably run Courier for ESMTP too. Courier is very particular about RFC compliance. Sam is of the opinion that there is no point in writing RFCs in the first place if no is going to follow them. Its quite possible that Rediff and Eth try to deliver broken mail and/or have broken DNS records. Both reasons enough for Courier to ignore their existence. Courier's lack of popularity, despite its rock solid performance and amazing security history seems to me arises from this finickiness when it comes to RFC compliance. After all, majority of the end users would be on MS Outlook. :-) Binand (Courier administrator - and proud to be one) PS: "Why did we pay $$$ for that exchange server then???" - PHB Types, on seeing Courier in action. _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
