Thank you. Now I am able to do job by issuing: $aspell -c --lang=british MyFile But I could not modify aspell.conf file correctly, to use british dictionary by default. I uncommneted on line and changed english to british like: # lang descrip: default language to use lang default: british # lang current: english and then I get following. $ aspell -c MyFile Sorry, I can't read the file "/usr/lib/aspell/default: british".
