Good Linux to e'body,

On a standalone Linux Box with Winxx partition, someone has put some strange
command in either .bashrc or .profile file. So after booting to linux
(RH5.2) and logging in as root, it enters into some infinite loop. Or to say
exactly bash prompt doses not appear.

I adviced Crtl-C, which does not make any effect, AND Crtl-D - which takes
the user to login prompt again.
All the PCs here are without floppy drives - not networked. LILO directly
goes to Linux box by default.

Can we go directly to login prompt by-passing these start-up files ?

Regards & thanks !
