Good suggestion Bish, but that means every-time one has to import/export the
same file while using it - that too on both sides, M$ and Linux !

I want to avoid it !! Otherwise .rtf is the de-facto standard method. The
only problem is in .rtf, we loss the graphics - or so I think !
Any soln for sharing a MS-Word .doc file with all the graphics/WordArt
images in Linux-Kword ?

Some Book/Publication/DTP expert may help me, here - please !
Wait-a-minute, how abt WordPerfect ? I have never used WP either on Winxx or
Linux. WP users can enlighten me here. Can we share WP files on Winxx/Linux
platform - w/o importing/exporting ? If possible then, there is no need of
converting to .rtf or .doc etc.
Also WP files can be easily opened in M$-Word without lossing any
formatting/graphics !
The only draw-back of WP seems to be with opening some RTF files properly -
at-least that is what I "heard" on the topic long back on LIH.

Also I assume there is no soln to my 2nd query :
"Also can an M$ application (VC++) ( or even M$-Word for that matter ) and
Kword append single line text records to a single Kword file already opened
on Linux box thru Kword ?
Here sharing means "sharing at-a-time" ! I fear M$ will complain "sharing
violation"...
" :(

PS: If it is a one-time job or if we ourselves are doing it, then it is OK.
But how to convience regular DTP users doing heavy publication works on a
network of 11 PCs - 2 Linux- 9 Winxx ?
( One linux m/c is used as Mail server - cum gateway apart from as a DTP
node)

Thanks !
