Now , you also want to write a mail server. > HTML forms, > CGI scripts directly interacting between mail server and front > end > CGI scripts for interaction between mysql database and mail > server > CGI scripts for interaction between Apache's Session Management > and Mail Server. > Am I missing something or a lot of things. > Trying to retrieve the code of SquirrelMail to find out. > Is this the most popular web mail client available for qmail? There are many , It depends on your choice and needs. SquirrelMail is not a front end for qmail in a perfect sense, qmail doesn't care what MUA you use to read the mails. SquirrelMail is a web based MUA which fetches the mails from the IMAP server. > I tried my ahnds on VPOPMail and then decided to switch to writing > my own code. vpopmail is a add on to qmail . It just makes handling virtual domains easy. Read http://www.lifewithqmail.org to get a better picture of how qmail works. Read http://shupp.org/toaster/ - Linux Qmail Toaster Read http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail - Information about vpopmail. All of the components that you want to write *are* available , Reading the above docs will get you started in integrating them.
