yes kunal's suggestion is correct , latest bios's
donot have this problem because they have lba32 mode
enabled(Logical Block Addressing) even is they don't u
can change the "linear" keyword in your /etc/lilo.conf
file to lba32 and doing lilo -v and then give is a try
by doing a cold reboot, this might help......
