I have the following problems :
1. unable to use wvdial as a normal user, only via the root
account.perms look ok
on /dev/ttyS0 (666)
err msg : --> cannot open /dev/ttyS0: device or resource busy
could not find any file in /var/lock related to wvdial, so a stray lock
file could not
be the problem. Any suggestions ?
2. I use netscape messenger, want to have a common mail folder so that
opening
messenger using any account and any window manager.how do I do it ?
(As an aside, is it possible to have an ' independent' format mail db
which can be
read from any mailer, pine,elm etc ? :-) )
3. I want to upgrade to emacs 21, for want of syntax coloring in
console. The emacs 21 package is a bit too much for me to download on
dialup. Is there some way I can avoid this and still get syntax coloring
?(some elisp package, maybe?)
