Tell same thing to your friend who initially installed Linux for you :-) > Any instruction on configuring the Dax 56 Kbps > internal modem on Redhat Linux 7.1 (PCQ) is welcome. This question does not relate to "subject" of mail. Relevant subject always help. I believe you already got reply. You have following options: 1) Search for driver and install it if available. 2) If possible, exchange your internal modem with some one ( friend or friendly vender) with one for which driver is availble or buy new internal modem for which driver is available for Linux. 3) Get external modem. Always check hardware compatability for Linux before buying it HTH -- H.S.Rai : ####[ Linux One Stanza Tip (LOST) ]########################### Sub : Generating random data LOST #263 To generate some random data (e.g. to obtain an unique MD5 checksum when appended to to text file/ script) do: $head -c N /dev/urandom | mimencode > somefile.txt [where N is the no of random bytes needed eg 32, 64, 128 etc] ####<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>#################################### : ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
