OK, I am no expert on this but best and standard compliant way is to code a page in unicode and provide a link to a unicode font which implements that particular page of character set e.g. devnagari.. I think there are multiple fonts out there like Code2K etc. But frankly range of devnagari unicode fonts, their quality and scalability is notwhere near to english ones. IIRC, the way Arun(Sharma) did his hindi BSD page and kannada translation follow this method.. You may want to dig archives for links(my LI* archives are on windows partition, right now..) and get to those sites.. Works perfectly in opera on windows.. Never tried to have MS Arial unicode on linux as yet..
