Which browser are you using? Not all of them support digest authentication. Konqueror 3.0 does, and I get my test website with digest auth enabled. IE 6.0 I guess doesn't, so I get the "The page cannot be displayed" error. Lynx and links on RHL 7.3 don't. Mozilla 1.0 does. So, check first if your browser is capable of digest authentication. BTW, have you enabled mod_digest.so in apache??
