Hi, I installed Slackware 8.1 on my (pentium 166MHz i810 board) computer. Earlier I had Red Hat Linux 7.3. After installation I found that slackware if not switching off my computer if I select "Shutdown" option in GDM login screen. RHL used to completely do power down of my computer. What slackware 8.1 does is stopping all processes, unmounting the disks etc etc (standard stuff), but never does power down.
Is this a limitation of slackware or any special setting is required to use this feature? TIA, Atul. __________________________________________________________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
