I have virtual email accounts served by mysql.

Now for each user, there is a uniqueID (four digit) . and when postfix
writes mail for that virtual user it writes it this way

drwx------ 5 1014 postdrop 4096 Jul 23 13:56 arvind

all the mail belongs to the group postdrop for each user, Only the owner is
the uniqueid.

Now, if instead of assigning 1014 id to me, and another unique id to another
user,
if i make sure all the mails are owned by user postfix and part of group
postdrop.

so for each user it would show up something like this
drwx------ 5 postfix postdrop 4096 Jul 24 10:10 alex
drwx------ 5 postfix postdrop 4096 Jul 24 10:14 andrew
drwx------ 5 postfix postdrop 4096 Jul 23 13:56 arvind

instead of this
drwx------ 5 1087 postdrop 4096 Jul 24 10:10 alex
drwx------ 5 1098 postdrop 4096 Jul 24 10:14 andrew
drwx------ 5 1014 postdrop 4096 Jul 23 13:56 arvind

will there be any potential security issue here ?

Arvind
