Hi ppl,
I'm trying to set up my linux box for networking. I
downloaded kernel ver 2.4.9 from kernel.org and
compiled it. I have an Intel ether express pro 100 n/w
card.
Since I didn't have the reqd. eepro100 driver, I
downloaded the latest version of that too. After
compiling the driver I 'insmod'ed it. Fine upto this
point!
If I do ifconfig, then I can see that the eth0
interface setup correctly with an IP assigned to it.
But, when I try to do even a simple thing as 'ping' ,
I am getting ...
connect: Network is unreachable
Why could this be happening ? Any thoughts on this??
Help would be greatly appreciated!! :-)
