Hi to all of you

I am having some problems in configuring the network.
I have Red Hat 7.2 completely installed. Some programs like network configurator used
to disappear as soon as it came. I upgraded this package from Red Hat 7.3. Now its
working but the ip addresses and netmasks you enter isnt seen if you go back to the
previous level and come back again. But if you click on add a new route, leave
everything blank and press ok, all the previously configured routes are seen. I
configured the network settings exactly as in the previous machine which it is
replacing, but still the same message comes "Route to host not found".

Initially eth0 didnt start at bootup but when i included the 8319 module ( the network
card is realtek) the interface gets booted up. i couldnt load ne2kpci module. I cant
seem to add a route with the route command, either. I want to connect to the net
through a gateway. The local lan should be able to connect to it. Does anybody have
any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
