Hello,
The postfix server is meant only for internal use and isn't on a public
IP to access it from outside. The mail server was set up specifically
for a group of ppl to relay mail since that company said that it wanted
an open source solution and didn't want to use MS products to relay
their mail :).
The problem is that since it's a "open" relay inside our network, some
ppl other than the specified group are also relaying their mail. So what
is wanted to do is that "only" if the sender has a From: like @xyz.com
will he/she be able to relay mail and all other mails other should be
rejected.
I tried using /etc/postfix/access and checked for sender addresses and
even tried something like
hotmail.com 554 you can't send mails there.
This works properly. What i'm looking for is something like this.[if
address "is not" from hotmail.com reject all mails]
! hotmail.com REJECT
[just an example, i didn't try this one out :) ]
I tried googling around, but couldn't get enough examples to do this.
Alternatively i tried using a regex combination, something like
*.* REJECT
This also works. Can u guys suggest any other method to do this, or
some regex which will do what i want. I find that postfix is unable to
use the (!) operation. Every time i specify "not equal to", i doesn't
work. Am i wrong ? Are there some other ways to do this ?
