You can download and use F-Prot for linux, which is free.  Plugs in very
well with Amavis on Sendmail / Exim etc.

BTW you'd need it to scan incoming mail for your windows users - linux
leaves you totally immune to viruses :)

Mail clients?  Mutt, Gnus/Emacs, KMail, Evolution (which is very nice if you
want a GUI...).  Take your pick.
