Security patches applied will prevent vulnerabilities..But there might 
be/are  programs
for eg trojans,which can be carefully placed.,and advertised to other 
users,as good programs...

Not sure, if something is placed in /tmp,then it might be possible..Correct 
me if iam
wrong ...
