Cyrus and Courier support POP3 and IMAP.

If you are anyway popping it down into your client PCs, what do you care how
the mail is stored by the pop3 / imap server?

So fine, cyrus uses its own mailstore and courier uses maildir+ ... that's
totally transparent to the client side.
