Possibly ur resolution and/or color dept is wrong. Following can be used
as reference --

Section "Screen"
         Identifier "Default Screen"
         Device "Generic Video Card"
         Monitor "Generic Monitor"
         DefaultDepth 16
         SubSection "Display"
                 Depth 16
                 Modes "800x600"
         EndSubSection
EndSection

* Dont forget to comment DPMS line if ur card dont support it. Otherwise
u will find X is crashing in idle time.
