No problemo.. Install gentoo then..;-)

Seriously, if one sticks to disto. release cycles, rarely anything breaks... 

It's either stupid third party software like Oracle that depends upon 
unexported symbols in glibc and hence a particular version of it or it's the 
users quest to try 'latest and greatest' at internet speed.. like installing 
KDE3 on RHL6.2..;-)
