This is a bug in ymessenger which causes these type of files to be created in
the directory where ymessenger is started... I'm guessing that you start
ymessenger in this fashion...

cd /opt/ymessenger/bin
./ymessenger &

This should be fixed in the next release ymessenger from yahoo.
until then a work around is to delete your ~/.ymessenger directory and
re-enter your details. (save your history and stuff if you need it.)
