I am having problems w/ my webhost/mail provider. As usual the guy who sold me the package has no clue whatsoever about the problem other than that there was a new server put in in place of the old ones. His stock reply is that he is able to send mails using outlook express 6.
When I try to send a message thru the smarthost, using the command "sendmail -q" the sendmail process just sort of drags on and on. I get these messages in ps ax: sendmail: ./g938ivt02475 mail.srivari.net: user open and then later: sendmail: ./g938ivt02475 mail.srivari.net: client greeting then, after some time, the comand prompt comes back and the mail is still stuck in the queue. Can someone please tell me what could be the problem ? There have been no changes in my config.
